Deep Purple • When A Blind Man Cries solo • Blackmore or Morse?

This is NOT kind of ranking, every comparison on such great artists is no-sense (saying with kind words) ;)
This is just to see how 2 very different solos can work great on the same beautiful song... Which is your favorite?

A few notes but.... shivers!!! About Morse, I've never thought he's good for D.P. Never. Better Satriani. But true D.P. is Ritchie.

Both are excellent and heartfelt. I think Ritchie's is more human.

Blackmore's is no doubt. Morse's one is also a good solo but somehow it didn't go with the song. By the way both solo are played well.

Blackmore had more feeling in it and had a good old deep purple tone in it. Morse had kinda modern tone in it what isnt that cool and it didnt fit in my opinion.

B's is perfect. I mean the mood, the softness to the song. Morse's quick parts are totally redundant - just speed for speed - and contradict to the mood of the song.

Hey man, i love the detail on the notes at 0:57 on e10 that you dont bend a whole step down again, but only about a half step (from 12 down to 11 instead of 10 again). i found this part always so special and you are the only one so far who did it like this
