I entered this race thanks to a last minute bib transfer. As I was coming off holiday off-season I knew I wasn't in shape but I figured this would be a very real fitness test. The bad thing for me after spending the last several months road racing was that I lost my trail legs and I realized that I had about 20 miles fitness and I still had 13 miles to go.

I hydrated and fueled pretty well but my body still needs to learn how to digest better on the move.

The final descent was probably the worst part but I finished and know that I have a lot of work to do.
