Two things I must comment on: The organization of your projects is superb. You’re a natural teacher. And your video editing skills are exquisite. There’s no waiting around, or fast forwarding through your work. As a professor, I cannot tell you how happy that makes me. Great work.

If you want your coffee solution to last for years. Add a teaspoon of white vinegar & a pinch of salt. It preserves the coffee. I have a coffee dye that is over three years old.

Just finished your rice paper tutorial. How delightful you are!! I’m 79 yo and your excitement over the sound, feel, textures of the papers took me back to my child- self. Always loved paper, paste, colors, paints…but only now hv time to play again. 😄Thanks for sharing your joy. Off to craft store for the largest jug of white glue I can find.

We made prints by placing glue on our palms while in elementary school. Such memories you awakened.

I've been a "paper freak" all my life- the sound, the smell, the feel! You are not alone in this!!! Loved the video!!!

You are so right that our minds are percolating with ideas! Outstanding tutorial! Here's one of my tricks: dampen the cheesecloth first and the glue will penetrate the fibers more easily. If you don't want one side to be shiny peel it up and flip it over before it is completely dry.

I am so very happy that you decided to make your own rice paper! Because I have never liked buying store bought rice paper! Now I can make my own because of you! Thank You!! I want to make some Bookmarks with mine!! Then I want to glue pieces of dried flowers and tiny leaves to them! Then take some thin 😅 ribbon to my edges.. Yes, the juices are flowing! I guess I need to make a tutorial on this!

Loved this tutorial! The technique is quite similar to making fabric-paper, which is essentially thin paper (like napkins and tissue paper) glued with PVA to a fabric base (usually muslin) -- mixed media quilt artists use their fabric papers to make wall quilts, art dolls, journal covers, etc. as it handles really well under a sewing machine needle. I'm looking forward to trying the napkin and tissue paper on their own, however, for that glassine / rice paper look!

Could be used to make bookmarks, ornaments for trees, light catchers, lampshades, earrings, ribbons for packages, and other embellishments. I personally love the little bags you made after sewing the sides.

I love how you continually find new ways of creating a faux version of some expensive new product that we'd all like to have! Thank you! And I love that you found another use for those cereal bags. My husband keeps saving them for me since your last video on making something with cereal bags and they're piling up!! I will definitely do this project. I like all of your results, especially the sewn pockets, I think those look really unique. Thank you for another great idea!!

I'm a newbie to the journal making craft and I have to say, you are a fantastic teacher. I looked around YouTube and viewed many videos and they all had something to offer. I have learned so much from all I've seen, but I found that I respond to your style the best. Thank you for all the extra steps you take to help us along, it's as if you're speaking to each of us individually.
Crafting and gardening are two things that feed our soul, and your channel is one of my happy places that I know that I can always visit to be inspired.

I have been a professional crafter for 33 years. I love learning something new. I play with it for a couple of years, do the making money thing and then move on to something else. I stumbled across this tutorial on You tube about 45 minutes ago. I have to tell you your presentation is fabulous. I loved the speed, the angles, there is SO much. What a joy it was to watch this. Thank you so much for posting this. I'm going to have an enormous amount of fun over the course of this winter. Your imagination is inspiring. I am your new bestie..lol...

I always have tiny thread bits left over from sewing. I think putting them on top of the first glue layer before the napkin goes on would be really cool to try. Also I can't wait to try the cheese cloth with tea and glue and then use it like ancient paper in my Bible journaling.

I love this! I can't wait to try this, adding dried flowers, little bits of herbs or other natural materials. I hope it will give this the appearance of handcrafted paper, which I love!
