Duo Cookie and Brownie Bars

One day my son made brownies at my house and afterwards I looked at the back of the brownie box and discovered this recipe. Easy recipe if you use the prepared cookie dough in the tube, if you just can't wrap your head around making something longer than four minutes to mix and assemble but want something baked at home. This would probably be great served warm with your favorite ice cream on top.

Duo Cookie and Brownie Bars (Ghiradelli double chocolate brownie mix box)
Pillsbury prepared chocolate chip cookie dough or make your own or use a mix. (26-30 oz.)
Brownie Batter:
1 package Ghiradelli Double Chocolate Brownie mix
1/4 C. water
1/3 C. vegetable oil
1 Egg
Heat oven to 325 degrees F. Spray a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray. Mix up the brownie batter and then pour into the baking dish. Dollop the cookie dough on top of the brownie batter. Bake 40-45 minutes. If needed, lightly lay a sheet of tin foil on top to prevent burning. Cool, cut and serve.

These are one of my family’s favorite. I’m definitely going to try making it with the Ghirardelli brownie mix the next time!
