I think the "born inside the matrix" isn't clever specific wording. it's just to contrast people born with the machines and plugged into the matrix versus those born outside as natural born humans in Zion. It does not need to be more complicated than that.

I don't buy the Merovingian being a "One". Had he been a previous anomaly, he would've more than happy to say so with his EXTREME arrogance

You don’t know how true/right you were when you said “Neo sacrificing himself was a useless act of heroism..” ‘Cause Neo said exactly that in Matrix(4) Resurrections

The thought of the machines giving the humans a better life than the ruined planet would provide I think makes a lot of sense. The original matrix was designed to be a paradise.

The Matrix...shouldn't be viewed as an "iceberg" but rather a *rabbit hole.*

I cant believe you literally left out the ENTIRE Animatrix like that pretty much explains like 99% of the Matrix iceberg but you didn't even scratch the surface of that iceberg

"(..) I do not know whether I am a man dreaming I am a butterfly, or whether I am a butterfly, dreaming of being a man" (Zhuangzi. before Plato was yet to be conceived.)

It's so funny that they actually say in the film "we didn't want to make a matrix 4 but Warner brothers said if we didn't do it they would do it without us! "
It's openly said in the film!

Good video but your statement that humans aren't a viable source of power actually doesn't leave plot holes like you suggested. Humans never were the soul source of power. Morpheus states the machines sourced their energy from us coupled with a new form of fusion energy.

A line that goes in noticed quite often.

Both together, Neo, 1/2 of the code and Smith the other 1/2? Made up the complete One code.

One of my favourite videos of yours yet! You definitely did justice to the philosophical messages of The Matrix and opened my eyes to some interesting theories. Hope you do more film-related content in the future (James Bond theories, perhaps?)

Using the music from The Talos Principle here is genius. So fitting, and amazing music

I’m not surprised they shut down the idea of the Matrix online game. God forbid it wakes up more people from this hell hole. Smh.

The one is a code to save machines, not humans

In the first Matrix Movie from 99', Neos passport is shown for a splitsecond and it expires on 11Sept2001

I always wanted to know more about the Merovingian, the Exiles and just seeing the real world itself in more detail. Resurrections was such a terrible dumpster fire of a movie. It had a few intensely interesting ideas/moments that were tossed aside for a plot that just wanted to seemingly make fun of the fact that there was another movie and WB was forcing it on Lana and the actors. It probably buried the franchise for another decade unless someone makes a Mandalorian like refresh of the world. I honestly loved the Animatrix and the comics more than the movies themselves. Guess I'm just into world building.

imo we won't ever comprehend reality until we exit, at which point we become capable of doing so for the first time. Ultimately though, who knows.

A human break-away civilization that has always been detached from the Matrix this whole time sounds like an interesting plot twist, like the second Planet of the Apes movie.

Actually Neo is his real name. The name Thomas Anderson was given to him by the machines with the matrix. It wasn’t a consideration for older audiences that the studio changed out the theory of a neural network as many of the people (men) invented the internet. It was a generalization of the general audience who wasn’t tech savvy at any point in 99. Very, very few had internet access back then.
