Workshop: Service Design Day with the Emergency Design Collective
Показать описание
The SDN NYC Chapter is excited to spotlight the Emergency Design Collective as part of a way to contribute to the festivities. The Emergency Design collective is a group of over 500 doctors, designers, public health experts, and academics using human centered design to create rapid responses to the COVID-19 pandemic and future public health crises. The EDC is committed to open source work which includes publishing research, insights, and proven solutions to ensure maximum scalability. The EDC’s 20+ projects fall under one of three categories:
– Design for frontline healthcare and healthcare workers
– Design for vulnerable populations
– Design for the new normal
We look forward to having Nick Dawson tell us a little more about the EDC’s mission and projects, hearing three lightning-talk-formatted stories about different people’s experiences during the pandemic, reflecting through discussion, and ideating around ways we can contribute our skills to help address plethora of breakdowns in systems happening right now.
