TLC CrazySexyCool VH1 Movie Faces Backlash for Drama

New TLC movie more about drama than the music?
Vh1's TLC movie is facing backlash for too much drama, not enough music! Hey guys thank for hanging out with us here on ClevverMusic. "CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story" a biopic on Vh1 aired Monday October 21, depicts historical re-enactments of 90's girl group TLC and their rise to global fame. Hardcore fans were expecting more substance regarding their hit songs such as "Waterfalls" and "No Scrubs", but what they got was drama drama drama. It's no secret Chilli, Left Eye and T Boz experienced their fair share of mishaps during their career, but perhaps fans got a little too much of that. The movie stars Drew Sidora as T Boz, Keke Palmer as Chilli and Lil Mama as Left Eye. We see the gals in Atlanta as they meet for the first time and get their first record deal. Early on Left Eye experiences her father passing away, Chili goes through an abortion and relationship drama with Dallas Austin, while T Boz suffers from sickle cell anemia. As TLC's music career explodes, the film portrays the group's financial problems ($25 dollar weekly stipend?!) with its record label and of course Left Eye's infamous housefire and her eventual ragic passing. However, we think the film's remake of old TLC music videos was phenomenal, and we wished we saw a little more that in the film. But don't worry we also learned some things we didn't know about the R&B group, for example, TLC originally stood for Tionne, Lisa and Crystal. The later a former member of the trio before Chili joined. But after watching the new biopic we can't help but question- where are TLC's musical accolades and where the heck is Usher? He famously dated Chili back in 2001. Did you see the flick? What did you think? I recently interviewed Keke Palmer about her TLC role, so also be sure to check that out. I'm Misty Kingma thanks for watching your music news here on ClevverMusic.
