Building generational wealth is hard because other family members may not want to do that (they’ll want to spend) and will take advantage of elderly parents. Then the fighting starts.

Another thing a generational support trust may do: avoid being surrendered to a divorcing spouse of a beneficiary. Many times family law courts are allowing former spouses to seize inheritances. So a support trust may defeat a family law court because it is not an inheritance that goes straight to the beneficiary but is dealt out upon the beneficiary's needs.

Did you know that only 5% of generational wealth transfers fail due to gift and estate planning? 85% of generational wealth failure is due to lack of trust within the family and your kids not being prepared for the wealth. This stat is the same across the entire world no matter what tax bracket you are in.

I'm 47, my kids are in college, and I can finally afford to invest. I just opened a Brokerage Account. If I have $80k to invest, how should I begin?

Envy can do two things for you, motivate you to make something for yourself or sabotage another person and stay miserable and complain.

See if the poor community would come to this understanding instead of envy and hate of people wealthier than them, they might realize that while *they* might not ever be rich, their descendants will. It's about living for something bigger than yourself.

Question: he said that once assets go into the trust they are not ours and so we don’t have to claim taxes on them. I have never heard that. Can I get confirmation of that? In particular we have some real estate investments and receive loan interest. Does that really mean we don’t report any of that on our taxes?

Remember the good times.

Mom dropping me off on the side of a hospital 400 miles away from home.

Me getting admitted to the hospital as a temporary care center until they could figure out what to do with me.

4 and a half years of foster families rejecting me until finally the 5th year a family asked for me.

Then getting rejected by the same family and 9 other families.

Ahhh yeah the good elementary school days.
