Tbh, Carl's death kinda ruined twd for me. It was pointless and a huge mistake, killing a character with great potential just for the shock factor, that's lazy writing.
The guy said he wanted to give Rick a reason to do what we know he does in the comics, but boy, they could have figured something else out.
I will be low-key forever pissed at this. I hope Chandler keeps on acting, he's really good

I've temporarily stopped watching TWD! I was so damn distraught about Chandler's character's death. We were there to see Carl become a man-a leader and then the producers killed him off! I. Am. Done. Love that Chandler is upbeat and positive about his departure from the show. He, of course, will always be affiliated with the show. I really hope he's not bitter as I would be if it were me. I wish him well and hope he makes great role choices. Much success, man!

I was devastated to see Carl killed off and will miss that character greatly, but Mr. Riggs should be really proud of the work he did on the Walking Dead and I for one am excited to see him stretch his acting chops in the future.

It's good to see him handling this sudden departure as well as he is.  I wish nothing but the best for him in the future... when one door closes, another opens.  I will forever miss him on TWD though and will always feel it was an injustice to his character and the show to kill him off for the lame reason we were given.  It didn't make sense to me at the time and it never will.
