Austin Rivers killed that. If Bron and AD respect you from your relationship everyone will follow suit. Build chemistry

The media refuses to acknowledge just how bad Darvin Ham was, especially with timeout-management. He continuously used outdated defensive-schemes, made them double-team almost every possession (which would leave a man open every single time), and sit with his hands in his pockets; stubbornly refusing to adjust his game-plan. An NBA Coach CANNOT be stubborn. Those two things are oxymorons. JJ is on the other side of the spectrum from Ham.

Darvin ham deserved to lose his job honestly. He is the only coach I’ve ever seen that would wait until the lead is lost— to call a time out. He would never stop another team’s run/streak with a quick time out to interrupt their momentum. A team would come all the way back and take the lead before Darvin considers a timeout. It was that way all season long— including playoffs.

Congrats JJ on your new Assistant Coach job!

No tweaking can make this a championship roster. Analyze that.

The key is your best players ALLOWING you to "coach" them and call them out PUBLICLY in front of the other lesser players... There is no "coaching" LeBron at this stage

Stephen A would have blown a gasket if this wasnt JJ getting this job

This looks and sounds EXTREMELY familiar.

Oh that's right...KD and Kyrie got a coach fired, then got a first time coach who was an ex player that was billed as super smart and respected by the stars in Steve Nash.

When you don't learn your history, your doomed to repeat it.

I hope J.J does well. There needs to be fresh blood in every aspect of sports, you can't have the same coaches always rotating, even with experience alot of the coaches aren't coaching to a championship. He is a very articulate, and knowledgable basketball anaylst who unlike many of his peers isn't bias and spewing absolute nonsense 99% of the time. He was a good player ontop of that, what more can you really ask for? Everyone had no experience when they started. He is atleast the most qualified you can possibly be without that

I was 100% suprised that Stephen A did not start off with "As a black man" or "If a black coach "

I’ll give it half a year before they lose this “respect” for JJ.
