Good timing. Just dropped the price on the md5 in the US to $129. Figured newer version was on the horizon. Added weight in upper toe and longer hosel might get me to wait to try the new ones. That spin/trajectory might be an improvement. Have you typically matched your shafts to your iron sets? Always played s400’s in wedges(irons usually either s400 or x100) but playing nippon 120x in irons now. Not sure if I should match irons or go with old faithful’s.

I recently bought the AW & SW RAW wedges. how were you able to remove the adhesive residue after peeling off the film from the face of the club?

how do you stack these up against SM9s and the Mizuno T22s? I am stuck deciding among these three!

Do you think these will get bought up pretty quickly at release? I am deciding between the MG3s and these and if I'll have to wait extensively for these it just might not be worth it when I can get MG3s now. Thanks!

Please stop perpetuating the nonsense that rust adds spin. This theory has been disproven by both TXG and Mygolfspy several years ago. The only thing a rusty face is good for is glare reduction. Rust will reduce spin quicker than a plated wedge because the rust eats the grooves so essentially you are doing nothing more than accelerating the deterioration of a wedges performance and at the current prices seems absurd unless you get them for free.

I don't know why Callaway insists on making they wedges .25" shorter than everyone else. Vokey are .25" longer than Callaway, and Mizuno T22 are another .25" longer than Vokey. Clubs are too short off the rack, universally speaking. Almost everyone I know get's their clubs 1/2" over standard. Its like going into a clothing store and every shirt is a medium. Nobody wears medium. Yes you can always order and wait weeks for your custom clubs (or longer these days - ping can be months), , but when the stores have 100 wedges on the rack it's a shame to have to order.

Micro-milling should be banned! We should use standard v grooves on all clubs including 'woods'.
