I invite you to a wonderful walk on the Anita Garibaldi Promenade, one of the most beautiful in Italy.
Nervi is a former fishing village, now a district of Genoa and a seaside resort in Liguria. The beautiful village is located on the Riviera di Levante, 7 km east of central Genoa and 19 km northwest of Portofino. It has a wonderful location on a cliff overlooking the sea and a two kilometers fascinating and romantic promenade named after Anita Garibaldi. At the beginning of the Anita Garibaldi Promenade you can admire a 16th century look-out building for Saracen vessels, the Torre Groppallo or “Hay Tower”. From the promenade, that starts from the district centre, you can access Parchi di Nervi, the most elegant green area of Genoa. Parchi di Nervi hosts around one hundred botanical species extend on 92000 square meters of land between Via Aurelia and the sea.
Genoa is the capital city of the Italian region of Liguria, located on the Gulf of Genoa in the Ligurian Sea. The city was the capital of one of the most powerful maritime republics for over seven centuries, from the 11th century to 1797 and it has always been one of the most important ports on the Mediterranean.
