Jack Lemmon was hysterically funny in this epic movie. It's one of my favorites.

Jack Lemmon stole this movie. Everyone was stellar but Jack was an absolute scream. One of the greatest actors ever. 👍

...Jack's son Brian once said that this was Jack's best performance in his career because Blake Edwards gave him free reign over the character of Professor Fate; I agree.

The GREATEST ensemble movie EVER made.
Comedy, drama, action, adventure, romance, suspense, awesome saloon fight, largest pie fight ever committed to film, one of the most beautiful leading ladies in history and the wonderful music of the legendary Henry Mancini.
Blake Edwards was a genius.

Professor Fate (and the prince) and his assistant Max were definitely the highlight of this movie, and probably the main reason we rewatch it in my family.

God I love this Movie and it was many years before I was born. Jack Lemmon is awesome. He is still my favorite actor of all time by far. He was so damn great.

I was taken to this film when I was 7 years old and lived in Bruxelles. In a beautiful Art Deco cinema - built like a proper theatre inside, mezzanine, plush seats, huge velvet curtain...intermission with stewards selling ice-cream pots and boxes of orange.
I was dazzled by the whole experience.
I of course had no understanding that the action took place in a specific historical time or the Prisoner of Zenda style jokes.
But by god I loved it. I think it made me want to BE Natalie Woods. She was smart, funny, resourceful, conniving, fearless, and heart breakingly lovely. I was so blond my hair was almost white and my eyes, green. But I fantasized about having dark brown hair and eyes for decades and decades.
Everything Professor Fate and sidekick did I loved. I loved the decor of his gothic home. His hat! His sweeping coat!.
I wanted to BE Natalie Woods but DRESS like Professor Fate and live in his house.
I confess I didn't much notice the Great Leslie.

Because I loved the film so much as a child, I find I'm not able to tell if it's any good.

Not the greatest movie, but fun to watch and see top actors I grew up watching like Lemmon, Curtis, Wood, Falk, Martin and Storch who are gone now.

I first saw this movie as a kid on TV in the mid-seventies. It wasn't until decades later that I realized it was Jack Lemmon!

He stopped doing screwball comedies and did mostly drama by the 70s..

At 4:38, you should show _why_ the Eiffel Tower collapses. That's the point of this joke!
