Found patterns for n=5 and n=6 and tried to generalize..

Answer is option B

Let S=1+1/2 + 1/3 + 1/4...+1/2ⁿ-1

=1+ (1/2+1/3) + +(1/2ⁿ‐¹ + 1/2ⁿ‐¹+1 + 1/2ⁿ-1)
< 1 + (1/2 +1/2) + (1/4 + 1/4 + 1/4 + + (1/2ⁿ‐¹ + 1/2ⁿ‐¹ + 1/2ⁿ‐¹....+1/2ⁿ‐¹)
= 1+1+1...+1=n [there are 2ⁿ‐¹ numbers from 2ⁿ‐¹ to 2ⁿ-1]

So, S<n

Similarly,
+ 1/2ⁿ - 1/2ⁿ
=1+1/2+ (1/3 + 1/4) +(1/5...+1/8)... +1/2ⁿ) - 1/2ⁿ
>1+1/2 -1/2ⁿ
= 1+1/2+1/2...+1/2 - 1/2ⁿ
=1+ n/2 - 1/2ⁿ
>n/2

So... S>n/2

Thus, n/2<S<n
Hence, option B

Sir i have a doubt, the minimum value of f(x)=x+1/x according to AM GM inequality is 2 but f(-1)=-2. What's wrong here please tell? I want to know where i am lagging the concept
