I love how Walton Goggins is barely able to contain giggling in this scene. Kuddos to Danny McBride for writing such good comedy, and set in the South. Very near and dear to Walton.

This is another variant of The Ghoul. TVA would be so pissed.

its mostly true. A rental property is more like a saving mechanism. The rent goes to pay off the mortage and mortgage interst, taxes and fees. The property goes up in value but you lose a lot to taxes and repair and maitenance. You don't get to spend much on yourself until you sell it.

My landlord is LITERALLY swimming in $9 MILLION of Taxpayer money. They barely fix a darned thing. They are the worst, but I can't move out, ffs.

By the time the landlord pays the taxes and fixes all the bullshit from the renters. They really don’t make much. And that’s not talking all the free rent the U.S. government screwed private landlords out of.

I know a guy who rents out five houses. He makes between 2 and 3 hundred on each one. It's not a fast path to wealth.

Also landlords: I want to make my tenants look like a total fool in front of their friends. Just a complete idiot.

I know a few property owners. Usually, they don't make much. Its all about the equity and future property prices. Also, its a full time job if you own multiple units. You deal with tenant disputes, repairs, remodels, scouting, contracting, legal, taxes, multiple LLCs, bank intervention, city inspections, pest control, and snow removal. Even if you hire allot out work, you have to fill in when they are not available.

This is actually so true

I live in an apartment building that is part of three buildings owned by the same company

Each building has its own landlord/cleaner. But despite the fact that most of us are paying $2, 000 to $3, 000 for apartments, our landlords get paid minimum wage.

Like my landlord doesn't get any of the money from any of the tenants. She gets paid by the company who owns the buildings who are not landlords they're just some business gurus who own the company

Landlords aren't what landlords used to be

Back in the day landlords owned the building that they were renting out. Now a multimillion-dollar company owns these apartments, and hires live in landlords only paying them minimum wage

Blame the companies not the landlords

They are not lying exclamation.Point! If you're dealing with a landlord and not a company you're privileged

If a landlord only owns one or two rentals this is kinda true. By the time they pay taxes, insurance, and other upkeep they might make a a few thousand in profit depending on where it is. The only one who get rich off rentals are the ones who own dozens or hundreds of properties.

That sounds like a property manager not a landlord. Landlords generally own the property.

Not an accurate comparison. Tv evangelist nothing like a landlord.

Most landlords do make little, if anything, every month despite enormous risk and responsibility.
