You don’t always use a Credit Card to buy “crap” you don’t have the money to buy. Using a credit card online is a good idea because of the liability, If my debit card gets compromised, I have to go through hoops and my money is compromised, if my credit card gets compromised, the CC company shuts it down, and the liability is 0. My money isn’t compromised, otherwise pay off the credit card each month. Credit cards don’t have to be to “go into debt”

No, i got a CC to get comped and discounts on everything i wouldve just straigut bought. I buy everything from groceries and gas to entertainment and the its paid off every week with the paycheck. You can even synergize your CCs with apps that land you another discount to maximize the effect

I’d be willing to bet they threw out results from the Ramsey study that said people used debt. Rich people use debt, and if they don’t it’s because THEY DON’T NEED TO BECAUSE THEY ARE RICH. You don’t get rich from not using debt, you don’t use debt because you are rich.

I can’t stand Dave Ramsey when he talks about this. He does not know what he’s talking about, same thing when he talks about retirement plans. Credit cards serves great purpose to help build credit and also save money on travel. But you have to know how to use it.
