All blasphemy laws should require the offended deity to appear at the court to file the complaint. Offended deity only, no representative of the deity.

Wide and deep topic but trying to be specific I would ask the question: How can a Christian who supports free speech deal with Leviticus 24:10-23.

Any law given by a man for the purpose of exalting God is a law of man and not of God, and such a thing should not be done. Remember that it is not your desire to make a thing good that makes a thing good.

This is not directed at anything said in this video, just my first thoughts on the idea of blasphemy laws.

General equity is the view that recognizes the problem with theonomy, but doesn’t want to concede the problem

How do anti-blasphemy laws work under the enforcement of the 1st amendment (freedom of speech)?

Is blasphemy better handled by church discipline, or by the power of the state? Does the state have a role in prosecuting blasphemy at all?

I’m curious if Christian nationalism supports democracy? If we’re electing officials in a culture that’s increasingly secular how is that going to serve this cause?

Why don’t Doug and yourself run for office, if you all think you’re equipped to run the country?

But, do they love Israel, God's only chosen nation?

Sounds like a slow crawl back to a sacral society? 🤔

I am going to guess that you believed that you were being led by the Holy Spirit when you started developing your understanding of biblical doctrine. I wonder if the Spirit was wrong before you became a Calvinist. I assume you still use the same bible. BTW I am a Calvinist. My concept of who God is informed by the Doctrines of Grace. My point is that a person can't help what they believes. Your understanding of bible doctrine has changed as you have been exposed to various other people's understanding of the scripture and now you teach what you are "sure" the bible means by what it says. You will be intellectually honest if you would admit that your theology has "evolved". So, what part of the ministry of the Holy Spirit is involved with this [ He is the teacher is He not?]. James While [whom I really appreciate and listen to all of his stuff] apparently "converted" to post-mill after reading some OT verse in Isaiah. Where was James' Holy Spirit taught theology before this "conversion"? So those of us who are pre-mill have just as much right to say that we believe this is what the bible teaches based in the same empirical and logical understandings of scripture. Our historical, contextual, grammatical and literal reasoning is not inferior to yours. I listen very carefully to what "convinces you" of your position but it does not have the same intellectual, spiritual, rightly divided impact on me. I think you are a little too far out on your skies to claim that the pre-millennial view is "dangerous" and unbiblical. You have no biblical authority to make such statements just like your "hatred" of Calvinism was a childish and immature. Just tell us that what "you believe" the bible teaches, and you will probably not have to tell us what you previously "hated" but you now believe with all your heart because your new Holy Spirit taught revelation.

Look, a lot of Fellow {THEOnosmist} Brethren try to weasel their way out of this one and homosexuality. All the Capital Punishment Prescriptions by GOD (Just want to point out to my Brother's, That IS The Pre-Incarnate YESHUA, The WORD) are said to be perpetual and The LAW Giver Himself is the only ONE Who can stop them; HE Said they remain. Remember, "What does YHWH Your GOD Require of You {CHRISTian}? "To Do Justice, LOVE Mercy, and Walk Humbly Before Your GOD".

I can't believe so many Christians would denounce a proposal of making GOD's law the law of the land, which automatically means we remain in the secular sewer. I also can't believe how many are so close-minded as to denounce the idea without having read the book written by Torba or Wolfe. They obviously have not read either or have not understood what was written.

But, pastor Joel, God gave His law to the nation of Israel, specifically. It was to set Israel apart from other nations. God says in Deuteronomy 14:2 that He chose Israel for Himself out of all the nations of the world! Romans 11:1-2 says that Israel is still God's chosen nation! No where in the New Testament does God tell us Gentile believers that we are to make the nations that we live in Christian! We are supposed to preach the Gospel to everyone and love everyone. Romans 11 makes it abundantly clear that Israel is still God's chosen and focus nation!

Pure, pure, evil. The fall of "god" and religion is inevitable. The amount of delusion and evil is absolutely rampant amongst the religions. These types wouldnt be able to understand a fact with all the truth and evidence in the world, right in front of their faces.

We have a better Covenant. Israel was not able to live under the Law of Moses, it was a heavy yoke. Acts 15. This is Hebrew Roots Movement and leads away from the simplicity of the Gospel. Galatians warns against going back to the Law, You will be cut off from Christ.
