The robot itself is made up of three or four independent arms that replicate those of a human in size and shape, coupled with 3D visualization and unique instrument controls that allow the surgeon to mimic their own human movement. This allows for precise surgeries while also making long procedures less strenuous.

To operate using the Robotic system, your surgeon makes tiny incisions in your body and inserts miniaturized instruments and a high-definition three-dimensional camera, and sometimes skin incisions are not required at all. Then, from a nearby console, your surgeon manipulates those instruments to perform the operation.

Treatment of testicular cancer usually starts with surgery to remove the testicle with cancer, called a radical inguinal orchiectomy. This operation is done through an incision in the groin along the beltline. During the surgery, the entire testicle and most of the spermatic cord are removed.
