This balloon shook the entire room

What I have here is a balloon filled with oxygen and hydrogen, and I'm gonna light it on fire.

WARNING: Mixtures of oxygen and hydrogen gas are explosive and extremely dangerous. This experiment was performed in a controlled environment. Please don't recreate what I do!

A chemistry teacher did this 'test' with a big ballon which had roughly a 1m / 3ft diameter, and floated above to his desk. We were told to go into the last row, he took a 4m/12ft candlestick, and to the words "Fortune favours the bold!" he lit the ballon up. Only AFTER the explosion he realized that he forgot something - to open the windows, which were now flying out onto the street... Best chemistry class - EVER!
