Having visited the wonderful Takayama, but not being a real foodie myself, it was very interesting to see the “culinary” side of it!

It amazes me to see many historical little shops that have been there for generations!

I really like the dark wood feel of the historic neighborhood! It looks like pine pitch painted wood - which does a really nice job in preserving wood for a long time. That cafe has quite the vibe - perfect to drop into, particularly on a rainy day, or during the winter! Classy restaurant! Thank you Shizuka and crew for showing us Hida Takayama! Love from Canada!
