There’s actually a bit of science behind that because speedrunners know the game really good they can do most things without thinking and with shrooms or other illegal substances you’re able to basically turn off your brain and that way you can focus on it subconsciously which makes it faster. It’s kinda like dragon balls ultra instinct.

I remember playing Mario kart with friends totally high on LSD and I was still better than any of the sober people which btw were good at the game. One of them even started talking to me and I full on turned my head to talk to him so I was playing without looking at the screen.

Yea when your on shrooms the brains processing power is crazy i remember trying borderlands 2 off 3.5 and i beat almost the entire game from a level 1 character in that 6 hours
