I think you've hit a point that most other tech reviewers on the internet missed, and that's the fact that there's going to be an SDK available to access the object recognition technology of Firefly. It's meant to be more than just another way to buy stuff on Amazon, and I don't think we can make any earnest judgment on the phone's utility until we see developers start creating apps that take advantage of object recognition. its so refreshing seeing other companies coming out with smart phones though i wont be getting it that firefly feature looks badass!  I hope they sell well and reach expectations, just wished all these smart phones werent flat bricks, great review

There is no reason for anyone who is not heavy invested in the amazon ecosystem to even consider this phone.

The exclusivity to AT&T is going to hurt this phone. I can't imagine very many people leaving current carrier to buy this phone. So they can now only rely on AT&T's users to really push this phone forward. Where they succeed is conveying that with time things could be done right. The fact that this phone does not have access to Googles services may also be a huge problem though. Apps are very important as we have seen how problematic a low app count can be with Windows. What they did get right is further enticing current kindle users or those that already buy into Amazons ecosystem to continue and have possibly and even better experience than ever before.

I pre- order this phone because i was blown away by the experience of having a kindle fire tablet. I am going to stick by my gun on this one.

Only like 300, 000 apps in the Amazon store! How are the App Heads supposed to survive on that?

1.Is there expandable storage or is the cloud it.
2. Amazon is supposed to be better priced.
3. Is it just me or why is he not commenting on the fact that firefly is just a prettier "Google Goggles" knockoff because GG already does all of that.
Maybe if their next phone is Phablet sized and had OS options or can be rooted with CM, I might possibly buy it but probably only for the unlimited cloud storage. Other than that... the phone is pretty and that's it.... Just Sayin!
