I look as white as this guy does, but my uncle is from Mexico. I grew up speaking Spanish and wearing ponchos and a myriad of other things. Claiming he can't wear the poncho because he doesn't understand the origin is like saying you can't wear Aran knit sweaters from Ireland because you don't understand it. Or Fairisle sweaters from Norway. It's a product of the environment, decorated by the culture and not EVERY pattern is sacred. These children need a lesson in reality.

Mexicans are some of the most thick skin people . Not easily offended at all, except if you’re straight up being racist or hateful. We grow up ragging and poking fun at each other, that’s why half of us have nicknames. It’s all love tho .

I wish I could express how much I absolutely LOVE this. The point of culture is to grow, think cultivate. If people aren't allowed to grow beyond the tiny seed of their personal views then there is no harvest of beautiful abundance to share a common human experience.
