Quill & Ink History is starting a new video series covering the history ancient science stretching from ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia in around 3000 B.C to the days of John Philoponus in around 500 A.D. We will cover a wide arrange of subjects including the invention of writing, metaphysical speculations of underlying reality, astronomy, medicine, optics, mathematics, philosophy and much more. On our journey we will encounter great historical thinkers and scientists such as Thales, Aristotle, Plato, Pythagoras, Epicurus, Hypatia of Alexandria, John Philoponus and many more. Ancient Science: Introduction will serve as an intro to those subjects.

chemistry did exist in ancient world it just have a different name alchemy and history of science is bigger than Mesopotamia and Greece there is a lot that you didn’t cover

Why not include science and technology of ancient China, India, Persia or the Americas? They are important too.

Christians were the pioneers of Modern Science such as chemistry and physics. Modern science still has remnants of ancient science such as natural sciences like biology and earth science.

Ancient science was only based solely on observation of the natural/real world. They couldn't come up with something like law of gravity = Gm1m2/r^2
