I was 27 yrs old in 1976. Lived & worked in Los Angeles. The best single life ever. Roller skated from Malibu to Seal Beach all the time weekends or after work. Many nights dancing at the soul clubs with friends to hip songs like this one. There was always so much to do in the 70s and early 80s in the L.A. area in the summers.

Summer of '76 was the best summer of my life. I was 15 - still riding my Schwinn Varsity bicycle - had a new boyfriend - didn't have a real job, yet. Spent the summer swimming, canoeing and riding my bike. Life was so carefree.

It's Sunday afternoon in Escondido, CA today and I'm listening to this song sitting in the car while my wife runs into Northgate supermarket for fresh tortillas for our menudo dinner later tonight. The perfect song sitting here watching all the other Mexican families coming and going for their groceries and takeout food. Some just coming from church, this world still has plenty of good people.
