Debussy. Rêverie. Such a beautiful piece that captures the title, "a daydream", so well. There is something so soothing about the flowing melodic line, the way it repeats in almost a trance-like manner, that can't help but make you feel like you're in a dream. Did you know that Debussy later disliked this piece? It's fascinating how often this happens to works that become popular, can you think of another case where this happened? A certain Rachmaninoff piece comes to mind, and perhaps a Chopin too. I hope you enjoy this last week of waiting ♥

Are there any more Debussy works you want to see, or is it time for another composer?

Debussy's music is something familiar and in the same time something that is really far away. Something that everyone has been reaching for. Something most beautiful we saw, but we don't remember what exactly it is. And this music opens our minds, and shows us our deepest and most beautiful memories. I've remembered the red sunrise I saw when I was a kid while living in my grandma's house in Latvian village. The village was surrounded by forests and sometimes I was able to see most beautiful red sunrises all around the horizon with a white fog between the trees. That was most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my

I just lost a friend, a kindred soul, my climbing partner, my late-night-let's-talk-about-music-theory, person. This was the first piece she learned on piano so thank you for having this here for me to visit and feel my pain.

For me personally Debussy's pieces are telling stories. This isn't just music, which you feel and think "That's beautiful". There's so much more.

reverie is like the omelette of piano pieces. any professional worth their salt can play a passable rendition, but when someone truly skilled does it, you can always tell.

thank you for a wonderful version of a classic.

This piece makes me feel like I'm falling through a moonlight sky with no end, no beginning, just me, the cool breeze in my hair, and the stars shrouding my body and dancing away for as far as the eye can see. Beautiful piece, Rousseau!

It still never ceases to amaze me that a person can operate an instrument like this so finely to create such beautiful sound that becomes music.

I’m sad to say
This will be my final story
An old friend once told me something that gave me great comfort
Something he had read
Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin
Never died
They simply became music
So I hope you will enjoy this last piece
Very much.

Debussy really knows how to express feelings using music. One of my favorite composers ever.

I also won't be suprised if Rousseau already composed atleast one song because they play so elegantly that it's making me cry

My mother used to play this to me at night to fall asleep when I was young. I think if each of us had someone to play us a lullaby on the piano each night we'd be all be better adjusted.

I've heard many interpretations of this famous piece by Debussy, but your performance captivated me! Tempo, phrasing, accents... Everything is just perfect. Truly mesmerizing music. This piece couldn't be played better!
Thank you for this magic!👏🏼❤

This piece is very important to me because it's the piece that taught me a very valuable lesson : to never underestimate how difficult classical music can be, its random but this later translated to me to never judge things by how they may appear. This is one of the first pieces I had fully learnt on piano and initially I had thought "oh this doesnt look that difficult, I might actually be able to learn it( I had listened to a lot of liszt's pieces and thought I would never be able to learn them to die the difficulty), flash forward 2 years and I'm still trying to perfect this piece, which taught me another lesson, to always have patience, things dont happen instantly. Some of my friends always ask why I like classical music and the piano so much, and i always feel them that without classical music, I would've never discovered myself truly.

TL, DR : classical music helped me appreciate the world and myself more ig

Boy, you're just insane ... I also play the piano and I wouldn't say I am bad ... But when I hear you playing I feel like I am under a charm.
I always wonder how long you have to practise a day or for one composition?
And one question from pianist to pianist: Where do you get the piano sheet music from?
All in all I hope you will never stop making these kind of videos. I love them so much and you always make me feel happier.
Greatings from Germany 🇩🇪 👋🏼👏🏼
