HELLDIVERS™ 2 is a 3rd person squad-based shooter that sees the elite forces of the Helldivers battling to win an intergalactic struggle to rid the galaxy of the rising alien threats. From a 3rd person perspective, players use a variety of weapons (pistols, machine guns, flamethrowers) and stratagems (turrets, airstrikes, etc.) to shoot and kill the alien threats. Players can also aim down the sights for a more accurate 1st person camera view. Combat is accompanied by frequent sprays of blood and dismemberment as players exterminate the alien forces or players and squad mates are hit by environmental explosions or friendly fire. Enemy encampments and battlefield environments depict bloodstains and dismembered corpses.

In summary, this game is an absolute blast to play with friends (I can't speak on the solo experience) HOWEVER if kernel level anti-cheat is a major turn off for you on PC then this game has one of the most invasive out there from what I'm hearing but it's not something that has ever affected me or stopped me from enjoying a game. Why a PvE co-op shooter needs such strict anti-cheat is beyone me but it's whatever...

It sounds like matchmaking has improved, though some players are still having connectivity issues when queing with randoms and beyond a crash or two over the 5 hours we played, there is a lot of fun to be had. *Being able to reconnect after a disconnect makes crashes a lot less frustrating than they otherwise would be that's for sure! MTX / Microtrasactions do feel rather out of place here and the game does seem a bit grindy with some convoluted systems in place to force you to invest more time than most will care to devote to a game like this but Helldivers 2 is definitely one of the best horde shooter games I've played in a while with great visuals, sound design and bombastic gameplay with lots of cool ordnance to blast your enemies (and friends) to smithereens.

The game gets a recommendation from me if you are unphased and unaffected by the above issues that some are experiencing 👍

I love when games do little things to make them more immersive. That premission briefing where you step onto the hellpods could've been a simple "Ready Up" button but they chose to do that instead and it does a lot imo

People are asking what the story and plot is or if there is a campaign? You are basically thrown into an intergalactic war liberating planets with so much to build on for future enemy types and enemies evolving intelligence as you defeat more and more of them. The devs have stated they will start employing new strategies and approaching combat differently over time. This is a very exciting premise inside the beautifully atmospheric landscaped terrains.

BEST COOP EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD TO PLAY WITH FRIENDS! Frantic communication and team work calling in airstrikes and utilizing our defenses. Pure Addicting laid back fun!!!! 10/10!

As a DRG fan, this seems very fun, nothing like killing bugs in space. Rock and Stone!

Thankyou for the wonderful team and the ability to find some new friends and teammates. level 5. now. and having a blast. streams and videos don't seem to do the graphics justice. This truly looks like it was made in UE5. but I could be wrong. Also you do not have open absolutely everything by spending medals to move onto the next page. almost, but not quite, so that was nice to discover. lol. ;). ps. Don't forget the awesome jump back, land on your back and shoot over your feet mechanic when you got a mob bearing down on you, really works a treat

GGs Tom and the GUYs it was fun to watch you guys. lots of funny moments. I do share your frustration with team killing. funny at first but it gets old. unless you're trolling lol. Also, I think what would really help is when you unlock the jump pack. that should help get out of sticky situation fast.

It’s 2:00 am here in the UK, I’ve just spent 7 hrs on it straight and I have tomorrow off work . Are they fixing the party search issue? Couldn’t join any teams but had a blast with my mates .
