25 years: Aquino land reform

The Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (Peasant Movement of the Philippines) spearheaded a protest rally at the Mendiola Bridge leading to the presidential Malacanang Palace on June 10, 2013, the 25th anniversary of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) of former President Corazon Cojuangco-Aquino. Her son, current president Benigno Simeon III, carried over extended with reforms (CARPer) the quarter-century land reform program.
