The more you see this movie the more you appreciate the genius of Russell Crowe and Ridley Scott.

I first saw a preview of this version of Robin Hood (Russell Crowe) in a theater when a friend of mind invited to see a movie (I've forgotten which one). The preview displayed horses running through greenwood, and men fighting with bows and arrows, and both my friend and I kept looking at each other and asking "What movie is this?" Once we saw Russell Crowe rise from the ocean yelling, did we both stop talking and all attention was one the screen. We were hooked! We waited until we saw the name of the movie, then we both knew we were coming back to see it. Even in that small preview, this movie was amazing!

I now own two versions (special editions or extended versions) of Robin Hood, the first with Errol Flynn and the second with Russell Crowe - both great actors in their own unique way. None of the other versions I've seen even come close.

Thank You, ReanLouis2 for providing this lovely music. I have now ordered it. The only complaint I have is my favorite music from the movie, the one where everyone is celebrating the return of the young "Sir Robert Loxley", and Alan-a-Dale is singing while Little John and Friar Tuck trade bards, is the only one missing from this soundtrack. :(

I really enjoy the legend of Robin Hood, as well as the music from this period. Thanks!

I think the musical score is amazing! It has both gentleness and imperiousness in great measure. Will definitely play this more often. 🎼 👏🏾

The film is pretty good too. I wonder whether some casting gods were at work after this film was syndicated. Russell Crowe and Mark Strong all played roles in the DCEU films (i.e. 'Man of Steel' and 'Shazam!'), Oscar Isaac, Danny Huston and Kevin Durand all had parts in 20th Century Fox's X-Men franchise, Cate Blanchett and William Hurt turn up in the MCU films (i.e. 'Thor: Ragnarok', 'The Incredible Hulk' and 'Captain America: Civil War') and Oscar Isaac and the late Max Von Sydow appear in the recent Star Wars trilogy. Real film connections there... I'm sure I've missed some others out. 👌

It's a shame this film has not spawned a sequel. The ending is a 'bit in the air', certainly in historical terms.
