Sometimes on job sites I get made fun of because I’ll use a tool like that, that makes my job easier. It doesn’t bother me. But I didn’t grow up with a dad. My dad spent most of his life in construction but was a low life, so I never learned most of the tricks of the trades from the older generations. You just make me wish I worked for you. From a guy that has done drywall so many times my lungs are probably drywall by now. I use my tape measure. Sharpen the end just a little works like a champ and I'm not wasting time tryin to find that damn square . Also some terminology for ya. To cut the full length of a panel is called a rip to cut the end of a panel is called yup you guessed it a cut off.
