Tough Love, experience-based reality check. Thank You, Michael, for firmly, yet gently, telling it like it is.

I’ve tried multi streaming to twitch and YouTube. The plug-in doesn’t always work so I gave up. YouTube is where my niche is so I’m just sticking to there

Amen! I have a friend who wants to get monetized on YouTube, yet he still broadcasts on both YT and Facebook. Those Facebook fans are never going to move to YT if he keeps allowing them to see him on FB.

I have about 7, 700 subscribers to my channel on YouTube. It is a live stream of bird and critter cams. Mostly, people 50 and over enjoy the stream and many younger stream it to their desks at work or for babysitting pets, lol. I have about 8 moderators who monitor the channel 24/7. I also teach how to set up what I have. I am thinking of adding Facebook to the lineup since the age demographic would fit my audience. Some on Facebook rarely go to YouTube, so I might capture some market share, even though it has been noted that most on FB would just watch it on FB and I would not gain subscribers. I might could entice them with the higher resolution stream. I was considering using Restream with OBS as doing so, I can cut in for talks or Q&As. I would be using the free version of ReStream since Facebook only accepts up to 720p. I could cut my lower-viewed stream to save on bandwidth, subbing out Restream for it. However, it would mean running OBS 24/7, which I am worried about. Now, my cams stream even without my computer on. Thoughts?

UGH! I hate it when people misquote that quote! "Jack of all trades, master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one."

Also multistreaming is not for everyone, but for anyone who can handle that raised level of pressure. Then you should do it.

Great info. Right about the live streaming. In my opinion, that is the way to go. But I would add.. Master how to Livestream one platform as mentioned. Then Multistream - give it a go on another platform. It does depend on the topic area. And it would be manageable over time. But yes, do not multistream to all platforms at once until you complete understanding of that platform and have grown on it a little. I will do a video on my channel soon. Giving my guide on how to do this. I might be adding extra.

I never thought of multi-streaming but I thought if I should move to twitch but I decided to stick with YouTube.

0:42 this is not the full saying, it continues... / but I was more thinking like, 1. multi stream, 2. see where it takes off, 3, then learn more and focus more on this 1 special one, :)

I'm probably going to multi stream just to archive videos on YouTube much easier. But focus on twitch

Hello bro, may I ask you a question? I am using Mac M1 mini for streaming and how do I put my discord audio to my live stream? I have tried to use Blackhole 2ch but it doesn't work. Could you please teach me how to solve this problem? Thank you so much.

Ooh, so this explains why, when Bas Rutten decided to multistream his gym workouts for a month, it was a good idea at the time. Because he needed to reach a lot of people and he's very recognizable in the mixed martial arts community, and he couldn't open his gym at the time thanks to the pandemic anyway, so why not reach out and see if new people will stop by and work out? But also, I think it was a charitable moment, because anyone can watch those sessions now for free.
