I remember hearing this song for the first time listening to the local college "alternative" station on my old Koss headphones. Solid funky drum and bass grove with a crazy weird disjointed guitar riff on top. *Then* they threw in gospel backup singers for good measure - 'effing I was blown away.

Hi Everyone. I'm here today because I received an E-mail today from Matador Records. They advised me that a vinyl and cd box set is coming out Gang of Four 77-81. It got me thinking how Great Gang of Four are. I saw them years ago at Irving Plaza in New York City. Great show! It got me looking at their videos today. Just wanted to share this info with you.

This tune is totally awesome. Every musician is outstanding, and the guitar work by Andy Gill is still, after 40 years, beyond most anything you will hear today. Just fantastic. I don't mean to slight the other players and singers, they are all the best imho :)

There was an incredible underground punk/new wave scene in Toronto in the early to late 80s; there was an incredible all night dance club called "The Voodoo Club"...this song was a favorite there, and takes me back to that dance floor every time...💗

I remember when I was in the Navy, hearing the song on KROQ in Los Angeles. Back then, I had to tape the song off the radio. I think that was the time that my mom started questioning my sexual identity. And, I do love a man in uniform!
