THIS Might just be the WORLD’s BEST!!

This is the Frenchie, an extremely simple yet effective pattern that has proven itself over the years. Introduced by Lance Egan, this Euro nymphing fly pattern was adapted and inspired by Frank Sawyer’s Pheasant Tail Nymph. Egan, a celebrated and accomplished American competitive fly fisherman, altered the original pattern by simplifying it, adding a hotspot, and using a heavy tungsten bead. This design allows the fly to sink quickly to the stream bottom, while the flashy hotspot grabs the attention of trout, making the Frenchie an exceptionally effective fly. It should be a staple in everyone's fly box!

one of the few flies i dont think ill ever be without. My personal fav is a gold bead/gold dub. Mimics mayfly nymphs very well, sinks fast enough for quicker water but overall just gets bit often.
