A 97 year old woman who worked as a secretary at a Nazi concentration camp has been convicted of war crimes. Irmgard Furchner was found guilty of aiding and abetting the murder of more than ten and a half thousand people at the Stutthof camp in the 1940s.

The judge agreed she was fully aware of what was happening there and handed down a two year suspended sentence. Sena Saylan has more.

Also Don’t forget Israeli war crimes against Palestine must be brought to justice! All war crimes must be brought to justice no matter which side.

If she had turned herself in at the beginning she my have been shown leniency because of her age at the time. She could have convinced the court it was a “kill or be killed”. But the fact that she ran, which could also be understood because survivors wanted blood for blood justice.

This was a very dark time in history. It hard to separate the true monsters from the unwilling participants.

Remember Even the US has Draft system that forced guns into 18yr old hands. Should those that survived be charged with war crimes if they shot up a village of innocent people?

Give her the same punishment that they levied on their prisoners.
