Went to high-school reunion at 26. Finished college, had a good job and in a stable relationship (and we have a cat!).
People "felt bad" for me because I'm not married and with no children.

I will never ever ask people what their life plan is or why they aren't doing xyz at their age yet. Not only is it not my business, but everyone has their own pathway to follow. This goes for old friends from high school to cousins at family events. I am a safe space. Lol

Don't you dare EVER give in to that kind of ridiculous pressure either! Live your life happily without kids, with kids, married, not married. As long as you're doing what you feel fits your life and makes you happy. My daughter is 25 and decided she didn't want kids long ago. She doesn't have the patience for them and she doesn't want to have to live her life around them, or have that kind of responsibility period. I hate when family or friends say things to her about how she'll change her mind or how much better her life would be. Like, her life is beautiful, get a grip! Hold tight to what's right for you. I think it's much more responsible than people who think they have to do those things at certain ages, with people they aren't even sure about, and sometimes in extremely unhealthy relationships.

Last year on my 24th birthday I was asked by my auntie when’s my wedding.. I don’t even have a boyfriend.. and all the engagement photos on insta from people younger than 22 it’s like they try to rub it in our faces how you need to be in a relationship to be happy or fulfilled.
I’m single and I’m happy with my dog 💜

Ppl are allowed to make their own decisions about their partners and how they want to spend their lives BUT… the amount of people who are married with a baby on the way by the age of 25 is seriously confusing to me… my 24 yo cousin just tried to balance a stuffed animal on her feet while doing a handstand I couldn’t imagine her as a mom at this age 😭
