An explosive tribute to James Brown with SoulVision Allstars to open JazzAscona 2024

In 2007, drummer and musical director J.J. Flueck brought together the funkiest and most in-demand backing band in the country, a sizzling horn section and a powerful voice (that of Rich Fonje) to form the SoulVision Allstars. Eight musicians proudly present a very special tribute to the Godfather of Soul, James Brown, who passed away in late 2006.
This group of top musicians in soul and funk, all longtime fans of James Brown, will offer you on the first night of JazzAscona a high-voltage show with a wide range of music performed and produced by James Brown and a great selection of songs inspired and sampled by the Godfather of Soul.

Unbelievable! Where have the jazz moments from the nineties gone until about 2015 in Ascona? ?
I have read the program quite a bit this year and heard a few things.
But I made the right decision and stayed away.
