THE CHEAPEST and EASIEST WAY TO TRY radio controlled (RC) FLYING ! (EASY TO FLY Volantex Trainstar)
This is the cheapest and easiest way to try radio controlled model flying for the first time ! You get everything you need in the box except the 4 AA batteries for the transmitter. Charge up the flight battery with the provided USB charger connected to your laptop or desktop PC. After charging attach the battery to the velcro on the bottom of the aeroplane and plug it in. Turn on the transmitter and put the top right switch into 'Beginner' mode and you are ready for your first flight ! Take off from the ground or gently hand launch to get into the air. As your confidence and ability improves switch to the medium setting and you will get more control of the aeroplane as it flies. For an extra challenge flip the switch to Expert mode but be careful...the aeroplane gets very sensitive to control inputs from the transmitter.

PROS:
Everything in the box with exception of 4 AA batteries for transmitter
3 modes to support your ability (Beginner, Medium and Expert)
Gyro stabilised so flies smooth in light wind
Aeroplane made from EPO foam so very durable to light crashes
Cheap ! Great for trying RC flight before investing in bigger RC trainer aeroplanes

CONS:
No ailerons so will not perform axial roll
Small and light aeroplane so not good for medium to strong wind

Filmed by Nic for the 'Essential RC' YouTube channel using the Panasonic AG-UX180 Pro 4K camcorder at our local flying field.

I'm a keen aeromodeller, I bought one of these for my nephew to learn with and it really is superb! They are lovely and stable, robust and can be flown dead slow or perform aerobatics!! Brilliant

for fixed wing type planes you want no ailerons, just the rudder and elevator...once the controls are set so the right stick is the elevator/roll then you are good to go. Ailerons will quickly get a learner into real trouble, once the model rolls the learner will panic and make it worse and then crash. The rudder elevator system will produce a very tame roll (so you still get that aileron affect) which should be slow enough for you to correct if you are making a mistake. Once you are confident with all aspects of the model (ie flying towards you/away and some basic aerobatics maybe) then you could get into the aileron equipped models.

Its a very rewarding hobby with a good social aspect if you join a club.

I've been wanting to try RC for a long time. Now I have an excuse to do so without spending a lot of money!👍👍🙌🤓

I got me a use stick as my first plane for 100$. Got the radios and everything except a battery. Learned on that then a couple weeks later got a pulse. Been having a blast ever since. Luckily no crashes yet and I’m satisfied with those two planes for now. Thanks for the great video.

I've been flying RC airplanes and helicopters for over 35 years and I would still love to play with that!

I try to get people involved with the hobby for $150 tops with a 40 sized trainer. If you fly with someone that knows how you can fly in 30 mph winds. I take it off (or sometimes my students) and then i land it. I havent disappointed anyone yet and then you get a 4 channel radio and endless possibilities. The trouble with the cheap little planes like the one your showing is people crash them right away and never go any further with the hobbie. They assume its going to be a loss thats 10 times more. I still have the first 40 trainer i started with and its almost 30 years old. I love watching people's reaction when the wind is blowing the wing out of your hands and they think were not going home with the plane. Heck ive even flown when its was raining. Dont buy cheap and find a good guy to help you. I used to go out every night of the week helping people. Glow fuel is getting expensive though. Great fun

One of my friends has a Mini Trainstar, and he was able to fly it so slowly that I could (and did) catch it midair!

My friend builds wonderful large scale models and some have very sadly gone home in bin bags, always put me off but this little thing could be the answer!

Yes sir, I did not get the price of the plane and transmitter. Please let me know how much they are. Don Powell, Tyler, Texas.

Big thank you for this. That is truly remarkable and looks like exactly what I have been looking for all these years. I only wish I had a similar switch on my brain so that I could switch to expert mode! It never ceases to amaze me how small, cheap and powerful the latest fly-by-wire tech has become. I already have a small cheap camera drone that I can actually fly due to electronic wizardry so maybe, just maybe....
