Rehearsing Chucky Re-animating and Sitting Up

Alterian's Team Chucky puppeteers for Season #1 of the "Chucky" TV series mapped out and rehearsed different ideas for specific scenes in the series. This was one concept for the Chucky doll reanimating from an awkward, thrown position, and then sitting up while he was talking. The static test hands seen here would be replaced with animatronic hands for filming, and the steel puppeteering rods would be wrapped in black, and then eliminated via digital magic.

I’m sorry but chucky looks too damn robotic in this entire show. I personally liked his movements and facial expressions in the previous movies. He looked more ALIVE back then.

puppet work is so bad man, y’all are too blinded. Cheap ass budget cuts and different practical effects artist can lead to something that can’t even be compared to technology in the 80s…
