This session is designed to share experiences on the use of a mobile health (mHealth) intervention for the management of chronic diseases in resource-poor settings. It provides an opportunity for global collaborations toward designing efficient and scalable mHealth interventions to address chronic disease management. This session includes a presentation of the project in India followed by an overview of the adaptation of the intervention to improve diabetes control among an underserved community in Houston, Texas. After the presentation, interaction by participants will be encouraged to seek suggestions for enhancing our ongoing project, explore synergies, and build consensus and collaborations with interested partners.
