The Structure of GWF Hegel’s Phenomenology of Spirit Is Not Completely Linear | Philosophy Samples

This is a short selection from one of my Half Hour Hegel commentary videos discussing a paragraph from G.W.F. Hegel's Phenomenology of Spirit. This is from the Absolute Knowing portion that concludes the work.

I go off on a bit of a digression spurred by Hegel's insistence that, as we bring the dialectical process of Spirit's development to a close, we revisit and remember the shapes of consciousness we have previously traversed. This means that the structure of the work is not strictly linear.

I often think that some philosophical works
and I suspect Hegel's Phenomenology is one
would benefit from being in a different format.

Wittgenstein's Tractatus works best as
an expanding website.
Wittgenstein's Investigations would work better as an index card box.
Would the Phenomenology work better
in a Talmudic style
with thesis in the centre
and commentary around it?
