Which stencil paper works best for portable printer phomemo?

Does the Itari/Phomemo work with Spirit Classic Freehand paper? That really thick gummy purple paper with no yellow paper backing?

not sure what make my stencil paper is, but it doesn't seem to work in that, it makes the printer stop printing after about 3 seconds, so unless my design is TINY, it's pointless. Not sure if a different brand would help. Hard to imagine so. Was thinking i might just have to buy a different thremal printer

My printer is just doing heavy thick purple for the whole print.. like it was working fine until i cleaned the ribbon
