Welcome to Daily Devotions for Kingdom Living. Today in this daily devotional and Bible study, I'll be sharing about faith, fear and insecurity out of 2 Timothy 1:7, 1 John 4:18 and Proverbs 3:5-6.

Anytime you step out in faith, you come quickly into contact with every fear and insecurity you may be carrying. It activates them inside you as if to say “it’s on”!

But wisdom and maturity has taught me that these moments are not to be feared but rather embraced as you look the fear and doubt straight on, breathe and declare God’s purposes for your life.

I did that yesterday afternoon in the post I made over on another social platform. It shocked some people and encouraged others. That’s ok. And even though there are lots of unknowns lingering around our next steps, there is enough clarity and faith to step out and start moving in a new direction. Trusting that He who began a good work in me is faithful to complete it.

Whatever step of faith is required of you today, don’t back up. Step forward, look fear in the eye, declare the promises of God and start walking. He WILL direct your path.

“Trust in the lord, with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. And all of your ways, acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6.

"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.”
I John 4:18 NKJV

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7

Thanks for this Matt! Proverbs 3:5-6 has carried me through for years! I appreciate what the Lord is doing in my life through you!

Thanks Matt! I miss these treasures that are in the mentor program. I so value these devotionals you share. What I love the most is you share from what you have walked out yourself and you are humble about sharing what Godly wisdom you have gained from what you have walked and back it up with good scriptural teaching. Not easy stuff, but the most important and foundational scripture we all need every day. Thank you for today's reminder... it's a ploy the enemy uses often, and sometimes I forget.

This has inspired me in so many ways! After a 6 month slump of fear, exhaustion and fog in my art career pursuit, I have renewed faith - This affirms to me that great things are ahead, because the enemy has been attempting to thwart me! I saw visions of art while watching and listening to this! Thank you Matt! Many blessings to you for these daily devotions!

Thank you again Matt. We are currently dealing with a family situation that in the past would have had me racing around, panicking and stressing about. Tese past 2 weeks have been proof of God's promises you taught on here. I have been walking in such peace, and been able to shut out & tell off, thoughts that are not of Him, so that I could be a safe place for our child who needs that so much right now.
