'GB News is LYING to YOU!' – Calvin Robinson Claims

Woke culture and its unholy alliance with Islam are replacing the gap left by the decline in Christianity. Father Calvin Robinson is a conservative social commentator and, obviously, a priest. I'm an atheist. Can he and I agree to disagree about god, religion and society?

Calvin Robinson’s consistent and honourable position on the GB news Laurence Fox censorship issue is one of the reasons I have huge respect for him.

Calvin Robinson is so reasoned and decent. I could listen to him all day. Please have him more often as a guest.

The beginning sums up non believers perfectly,
“The bible says this.”
“Does the bible say to do that?”
“I don’t know I’ve never read the bible.”

The books of the Bible were written by various authors over a period of hundreds of years, over a thousand years, that much is known. Therefore they can't have been written by a single prankster. Obvious really.

It was the failure to back Mark Steyn by the then presenters. Including Calvin, Laurence and Dan, that led to the latest dismissals.

We all know instinctively what is right and wrong. If we don’t we are psychologically damaged in some way.

Bible contains 3 different types of laws: there was a moral law that we are all bound to, there’s a cultural law that distinguish behavior and habits of Israeli people from other nations, and there’s a legal law that used to be a low for Israeli people and it expired with Israeli nation as such that was in the Bible.
We, Christians, we aren’t Israeli or Jewish. We don’t bound to their ceremonial or legal law. But we do believe in Christ God, and as such, we are bound to God’s moral law.

If Calvin was the Archbishop of Canterbury, Christianity in this country would'nt be floundering.

I was raised an atheist. I tried to debunk all religions. I failed. I am a Bible believing Christian. I am millions of times happier and I have eternal life & I can help many, many other people now. AMEN! PRAISE JESUS CHRIST! AMEN!

Great questions. Great answers ❤❤ Very interesting explanation on how the Old Testament ( the law and the prophets) was God talking to the Jewish nation under the Covenants and the New Testament is God talking to Christians under the New Covenant. Moral laws were repeated and further explained and expanded by Jesus. For example if you hate your brother you have murdered. Jesus is adding on that your thoughts and intentions can be very wrong, not just your actions. He's stressing where is your heart. In the new covenant the idea is that you can't have a relationship with God based on following rules because we can never follow them perfectly 24/7 but rather can have a relationship with God based on a new heart which is soft and wants to follow God. This is of coarse based on a central tennentof Christianity that you believe e Jesus died as as a substitute for you as a payment or atonement for your sins or transgressions much like the Passover lamb.

Treat others how you would like to be treated; with respect. Try to help others who are less fortunate that yourself. Always try to be positive. I think that covers it. I refuse fealty to anyone or supposed deity.

Are the gospels legends?
Another point is that on that view you would have to regard the accounts of the Man as being legends. Now, as a literary historian, I am perfectly convinced that whatever else the Gospels are they are not legends. I have read a great deal of legend and I am quite clear that they are not the same sort of thing. They are not artistic enough to be legends. From an imaginative point of view they are clumsy, they don’t work up to things properly. Most of the life of Jesus is totally unknown to us, as is the life of anyone else who lived at that time, and no people building up a legend would allow that to be so. Apart from bits of the Platonic dialogues, there are no conversations that I know of in ancient literature like the Fourth Gospel. There is nothing, even in modern literature, until about a hundred years ago when the realistic novel came into existence. In the story of the woman taken in adultery we are told Christ bent down and scribbled in the dust with His finger. Nothing comes of this. No one has ever based any doctrine on it. And the art of inventing little irrelevant details to make an imaginary scene more convincing is a purely modern art. Surely the only explanation of this passage is that the thing really happened? The author put it in simply because he had seen it.
C.S. Lewis, "What Are We to Make of Jesus Christ?" (1950)

The only 2 rules Jesus left was love your neighbour as yourself and love God with all your heart, , , , with these 2 laws and principles you wouldn’t want to hurt anyone physically or emotionally, the laws of Moses were to seperate the Jews from the nations as the nations were cruel and violent immoral and bloodthirsty, but the Jews at the time added and stretched them laws which have been used today, the original laws in Leviticus was 600 but the Jews added lots and lots more which they live by today, they wasn’t Gods original laws, and wh3n Jesus arrived he left the 2 laws I mentioned at the beginning
