Another coping strategy that manages the symptoms but not the cure .😢 I can relate and have seen this in my siblings too. A learnt behaviour too.

Brother, why every drop of this channel makes me feel like someone's stalking my mind without letting me know and knowing me better then me and then explaining that to me without any miss😭💭

When your options are to laugh or cry, you cry in private and laugh in public.
I cannot think of a more balanced way of dealing with a problem, but a therapist could.

Nah, it's because you've built an ability to live and adapt. I mean, you probably need a good cry too.... But the main point is you've taught yourself to make serotonin out of pain *finger guns*

Malarky, i truly do look back on SOME memories, and laugh.

Laughter is the stage after greif. It shows that you've moved on from pain and now can conceptualize it as humor

Why is this bad? You’re learning how to cope with the hurt. Joking and laughing is a why to cope it does not invalidate.

Like my Drill Sgt said, "suck it up and drive on". That was the best and worst advice I'd ever gotten.

One day, my therapist said, "It sounds like you've been through a lot!". I haven't stopped crying since.

so, I understand that. What good does that understanding do? Am I supposed to want to cry?

I disagree. I can laugh about it now because I have overcome and healed.
