Like clockwork, NONE returns this spring to destroy your seasonal optimism with their oppressively bleak atmosphere. Following 2018’s epic “Life Has Gone On Long Enough”, “Damp Chill Of Life” is NONE's third full-length chapter in their arrestingly reclusive legacy.

Weaving visionary soundscapes with depressive black metal, “Damp Chill Of Life” will gnaw at your bones like dying alone in an ice-bound wilderness. Haunting piano keys and retching voices flicker through harsh walls of instruments, ebbing and flowing through the lengthy tracks as NONE take their time to pick apart your psyche.

As with the NONE’s previous albums, “Damp Chill Of Life” will be released on April 11th.

Stop global warming before there is no more snow for black metal album covers

shit, I wish I could live in a bleak winter landscape like that. You know whats really depressing? Traffic, going to a 9-5 job, going to Walmart, visiting in-laws. I need a black metal album cover vacation.

Funny. I have waited for a period of my life where I finally decided to stop intentionally hurting myself, stop hating myself and hopefully little by little learning the process of loving myself to realize how much I need this kind of music. It really helps me remembering in an appeased way instead of pretending I forgot who I was.

To anyone reading this, no matter what you've been through and what life tossed your way, you are fucking great, and I don't need to know you to know that.

Also, thank you so much. This is a true masterpiece.

this just makes me want to sit, with no coat or anything on a black winter landscape and just embrace the cold and die peacefully

Just saw the post from the band confirming the break-up of NONE. What a project, what a band. 4 amazing, sorrowful, gloomy albums under the belt. I really hope the members go on to do even bigger things and wish them all the best and more.

Listening to this album for the first time has been one of the most intimate musical experiences I've ever had.

And most surprising of all, it just makes me feel like I'm... valued? Loved? Like I'm not alone. Like I matter.

I can't really say why, but this is not depressing to me at all, it's actually making me happy because it assures me that I'm not alone with these terrible emotions.

This is the farthest thing from depressive. It is cathartic.

My eyes open: I don't know what time is it. It doesn't matter. Another hopeless day has begun, and I don't want to be a part of it. Force myself to wake up, and try to gather power to keep going. It's tough, almost impossible, but a part of me, that's buried so deep down inside of me that i'm not even sure it's still there keeps pushing me. But the darkness is taking over, and the flame is slowly dying. Tears burst out of my eyes. The album ends. Silence takes over the room, and i contemplate ending it too...

I sleep with this album every night, it's a very good feeling. During daylight it doesn't make any sense.

Blayne from BangerTV was absolutely right; listening to this album driving down a dark highway in a Canadian winter is just fucking surreal. I'm so grateful for this recommendation.

Everything that begins reaches its inevitable end. After four full-length albums over the past 7 years, NONE have decided to put the project to rest. A big thank you to everyone who felt a connection to NONE's vision and supported its endevours.

A message from the band:
"We are announcing the closure of the NONE project. The reasoning is mutual but personal. We can, however, say that the fourth album "Inevitable" was always designed to be our terminal chapter, and this was an inspiring force behind many decisions on the album. Finally, we extend our deepest gratitude to Nic & Hypnotic Dirge for the unparalleled  support and trust. Now we may find rest."

Why is called Depressive? It should be called Relaxing Black Metal because that is how it makes me feel Peaceful and Relaxed.

I love how black metal just fits in those times. And this, it's just pure melody, an excruciating scream in times like this, of nihilism, deep meaningless of life. I just hear it and hear my own feelings. They actually become sound and I face them, look at them.

The sample from 'You Did a Good Thing' comes from the movie 'Black Mountain Side'. The scene is about an hour and ten minutes into the film.

I was looking for something to ease this new found pain of losing my sister to an accidental OD as I am going to retrieve her ashes tomorrow coming from Los Angeles to Pennsylvania. I feel good knowing I'm not alone in how I feel. Thank you for this, because it curved my desire to be a Vigilante for her.
