W.C.E.-Simca Evolution (1934 - 1980)

Simca (Société Industrielle de Mécanique et Carrosserie Automobile; Mechanical and Automotive Body Manufacturing Company) was a French automaker, founded in November 1934 by Fiat and directed from July 1935 to May 1963 by Italian Henri Pigozzi. Simca was affiliated with Fiat and, after Simca bought Ford's French activities, became increasingly controlled by the Chrysler Group. In 1970, Simca became a subsidiary and brand of Chrysler Europe, ending its period as an independent company. Simca disappeared in 1978, when Chrysler divested its European operations to another French automaker, PSA Peugeot Citroën. PSA replaced the Simca brand with Talbot after a short period when some models were badged as Simca-Talbots.

My dad bought a Simca 1301 special on 13 5 1973 . 4 years before i was born . It was our family car and first driving experience for me and my sister and my mother . Unfortunately he sold it in 1992 12 July . But fortunately he sold it to a friend of him so i re-bought it 9 years later . But not at good condition at 17 January 2002 . Today December 2021 i have bring it at original condition after of giving enough money but mostly spending many many many work hours . Day and night . At least i have 3 same cars for spare parts and many spare parts on shelves . This car is a part of my life

I had an Aronde back in 1963 until I went into the military. Great car, comfortable, economy wild, great driver! Many times I wished to have it back. I think it was a 1955-56, can’t remember, but it was a tough little car, had 4 speed on the column. That worked flawless!

In my country, Spain, the Simca 1100 is a Simca 1200, my grandfather had a Simca 1200 LS, bought in 1978

My father had 2 simca’s 1100’s. The car it self technically like the engine and stuff was decent they didn’t had problems with that. But they both rusted away sadly. I like the 5 doors hatchback. Practical and looks good

My father drove 2 Simca 1000s. 1968 and 1974. Great little car, with 4 persons and towing a little trailer on vacation. The disadvantage was RUST...Simca's rusted already in the sales brochure....

Matra Simca Bagheera is a beautiful sports car. Must've looked from out of space in '76.

I had a Simca 1100 which was quite a good car for its time, altough it rusted too fast, but it was the same for all cars at this time, including german ones.

Ik drove Simca 1000 times 3 from 1975 until 1979 they rusted out extremely fast but as an automobile for me a 👍👍👍👍
A full rollover convinced me to go Volvo after that!
