No, British Raj was not good for India intentionally, because
1. They created railways in India which seems that it was the development of India but it wasn't for the benefit of India but for their own interest only as it was easing their raw material and finished goods transportation.
2. They built roads which again looks like the development of Indian infrastructure but that was built for the ease of their military movement so they can act fastly over the riots and protest against them.
3. They introduced the cultivation of cash crops like indigo and opium and it seems like it was benefiting the farmers of India, but it was only beneficial for them as they are getting dies for their Britain manufacturing companies and Indian farmers are facing the infertility of land.
