If one admits, as our era does since the Renaissance reinforced by Hobbes, Locke, etc, that man is a wolf to man, ... that the end justifies the means, etc...you have there the poisonned seeds of corruption. The rest is a matter of degree, both in time and geography. The question then is not corruption yes or no. It is: what proportion can the system live with. It's the frog in a lukewarm water bucket on a stove dilemma.

Trump has done exactly what the founders were worried about - using the power of office for personal gains. Impeach > Convict/Remove > Flush (even if it takes ten to fifteen times)
