Everyone keeps acting salty and saying that the band itself is satanic but it's not. Ghost is always quick to say that they use satanic messages for the sake of irony. They want to reveal how ironic religion truly is. That's why, in most of their songs, if you take out the "Satanic vocabulary" (for lack of a better term), it could pass as a Christian song. The best example of this would be Cirice.

Ghost isn't Satanic. If anything, they're subversive in their critique of Catholicism by telling the story of the Anti-Christ and other occult-ish things. Their critique isn't new either! People have been questioning organized religion for ages. It's a story people haven't heard or were too afraid to tell, with imagery (skull painting, evil priests, old school horror) and meanings that scare people. But honestly a society without critique like this will allow us to become prisoners of another's ideals. Also this song slaps and I'm a fucking Catholic, lol
