Lemon Bundt Cake/ Lemon Cake with glaze/ Lemon pound cake
This classic lemon bundt cake is a treat for all lemon lovers. Moist. light and flavored with fresh lemon juice, topped with a simple lemon glaze makes this a perfect cake for all occasions.
Ingredients:
All purpose flour-3 cups (390 g)
Butter-225 g
Sugar-1&1/2: cups (300 g)
salt-1/4 teaspoon
Baking powder- 1 teaspoon
Baking soda-1/2 teaspoon
vanilla essence-1 teaspoon
lemon juice-2 tablespoon
Lemon zest-1 tablespoon
butter milk- 1 cup ( i used butter milk substitute.
1 cup milk+1 tablespoon lemon juice/ vinegar)
Egg- 4 large ( at room temperature)
Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar ( sifted)
lemon juice-2 tablespoon
Baking:
pan size- 10 inch bundt pan. You can use 2 loaf pan instead.
Baking: preheat the oven at 180C for 10 minutes. Bake for 60-70 minutes. If you feel the top part is browning fast while baking, cover the cake after 30 minutes with aluminium foil.
